Future Health Mission 2012 is an entrepreneur-led trade mission with the goal of helping the UK’s most promising early stage health technology companies accelerate their ability to do business in the US.
The Mission will find and take 20 of the best UK companies with high growth potential to Boston, one of the largest heathtech clusters in the world, from 26th September to 3rd October 2012.
The selected early stage companies will be developing the new transformative technologies, services and business models to address our future healthcare challenges, particularly in the fields of assisted living, diagnostics, stratified and regenerative medicines.
A bespoke weeklong agenda is designed to provide insights, connections and opportunities focused on engaging with investors and innovation partners, product development, and investigating US market opportunities. This year The Future Health Mission will coincide with the global AdvaMed conference, which will bring together potential investors, customers, suppliers, media and peers from around the world.
This will be the sixth Mission of its type and alumni have collectively raised over $200m in private finance post Mission. Future Health Mission 2011 alumni include Aqix, Creo Medical, Endomagnetics and DocCom.
Future Health Mission is organised by The Long Run Venture and The Co-Sponsorship Agency in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board, UKTI and private sector sponsors.
In 2012 Future Health Mission sits alongside a UKTI Mission for more established companies seeking US customers and partners. Please visit UK@AdvaMed2012 to find out more.
